Julia Kurlan, M.D. is double board-certified in Dermatology & Internal Medicine. She completed her training in Dermatology at Wright State University (Dayton, OH) & in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky.

She has training and experience in general, medical, & surgical dermatology for patients of all ages. Dr. Kurlan also offers a variety of cosmetic procedures, including the treatment of leg veins (sclerotherapy), soft tissue filler injections, Botox® cosmetic, & treatment of scars & fine lines (micropen).

Dr. Kurlan was nominated by The San Diego Union Tribune readers poll as one of the best dermatologists in 2014 & 2015. Dr. Kurlan practiced for 10 years at Dermatology Specialists Inc. (DSI) in San Diego county & in Temecula / Murrieta. She opened her own private dermatology practice in 2016.

Gary Peterson PA-C is a Board Certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology since 2002. While Gary has many years of training and experience in the field of dermatology, he continues to stay abreast of the specialty’s newest advances and protocols through ongoing educational programs provided by the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. He did his undergrad work at UCSD and graduated magna cum laude from Midwestern University’s Physician Assistant Program in Arizona.

Gary enjoys golf, travel and spending time with his constantly expanding family. He is married to his high school sweetheart and has 4 grown children as well as 11 grandchildren. His small avocado ranch in Valley Center has been home for over 30 years. He has practiced in Riverside County for over 10 years.
